FTR Schedules State of Freight Webinar: Hot Topic – Fleet Productivity Gains and Losses

Bloomington, IN (March 30, 2017) CK Commercial Vehicle Research conducted a fleet survey in March to determine where fleets are gaining and where they are losing productivity; and how both manufacturers and shippers can assist them in reaching their goals. Join Chris Kemmer, Consultant for CK Commercial Vehicle Research, for insights on this survey during the monthly State of Freight webinar scheduled for Thursday, April 14th, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Chris will review productivity gains and losses over the last 2-3 years and what factors have affected it the most. She will also discuss productivity risks and opportunities in the next 5 years, as well as what technologies are most valued by fleets.

Chris commented, “For many fleets, growth plans must include the ability to do more with the number of trucks and drivers they have.  Technology and operational changes have been helping them do that with gains in productivity.  Some of those gains are offset by issues they have little control over such as shipper detention, emission-related downtime, etc.  The survey captured some of the best ways to gain productivity that may be useful to other fleets looking to maximize their current vehicle inventory.”
This is a thirty-minute webinar moderated by Eric Starks, CEO and Chairman of FTR.  Participant Q&A session will be held after the presentation.
